Saudi Arabia on Friday welcomed the recent phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin and expressed willingness to host a summit between the two presidents, the Kingdom’s foreign ministry said in a statement.
“The Kingdom expresses its welcome to hosting the summit in Saudi Arabia and reaffirms its ongoing efforts to achieve lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine,” the statement added.

“Over the past three years, the Kingdom continued these efforts, which included hosting numerous meetings on this matter,” Friday’s statement read.
Zelenskyy said on Friday that he planned to make trips to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Turkey but did not say when.
